Clearing via the command line:

Clearing the cache on a Magento 2 site is quite easy!

To clear, all you need to do is run the following commands while logged into your hosting via command line.

php bin/magento cache:clean

php bin/magento cache:flush

Further explanation:

cache:clean clears objects out of the Magento cache by tags, this usually should be the first one to run, but sometimes cahed objects are not added into teh Magento cache correctly, or with a tag. This is where cache:flush comes in, this one fully wipes out everything.

cache:flush can be slightly dangerous if you have multiple Magento sites using the same cache storage, or are using Redis, and did not correctly set the Redis storage up to use separate databases. this could wipe out your sessions, thus logging out your customers, and clearing all carts!
